Head Of Credit

Stephen Takyi is an experienced banking professional and currently serves as Credit Manager at Nafana Community Bank PLC, where he oversees credit and credit risk management, loan portfolio performance, default and recovery management, credit policy implementation.

He also serves on several relevant committees of the bank where he contributes knowledge in building growth and sustainability of the bank. He has built strong expertise in supervising key units under his department including Microfinance, Susu, and Marketing units, contributing to the bank’s growth and financial inclusion efforts. He brings over a decade of experience in the financial services sector, having previously worked with Asutifi Rural Bank as deputy credit manager, GN Bank as branch operations officer and other financial institutions in his early years.

Stephen holds an MBA in Marketing and a BSc in Marketing, both from the University of Cape Coast. He has obtained several professional trainings in SME financing, agricultural finance, and credit risk management.

As a results-driven and experienced professional, Stephen is skillful in managing people/staff under his supervision towards targets and results. He is passionate about empowering individuals and businesses through accessible financial solutions, with a strong commitment to excellence, integrity, and sustainable banking practices.
